A Thought

Glancing Girl here ...

I wonder if it's possible for us to take a little refuge in this chilly weather by trying to manifest this:

An invincible summer ... doesn't that sound lovely?

Glancing Girl here ...

Last night, the Glancing Girls all wore a poppy colored lip to our launch party.

A bright lip is sooo right this spring.

And this is the only one you'll need:

A New Look

Glancing Girl here ...

You may remember that a few months ago, I hinted the shops were undergoing a major change.

Well, we're finally near the end of our metamorphosis and we're ready to begin unveiling our new look.

As we transition from this blog to a full-fledged website, my presence here may be sporadic until we get all the kinks worked out.

In the meantime, I hope you'll visit our shops and see the new look for yourself.
Especially tomorrow.

We're throwing a launch party from 4pm - 7pm on Wednesday, January 26th at both locations.

We'll be having major sales, drawings, free gifts, hair & makeup consultants available, sweet & savory treats, and our signature cocktail, 'The Honeysuckle' {in honor of the it color of 2011}.

This is a party you don't want to miss.

And welcome to the new look of Second Glance ... Fashion Recycling Since 1984.

I'm loving Anthropologie's spring aesthetic.

I've recently decided print blouses will be an important part of my spring and summer wardrobe, so I'm thrilled they're a staple in many Anthro ensembles.

And I was sooo not ready to give up sequins ...

Huzzah for Anthropologie.

Focus

Aren't her eyes stunning?

I've often ignored the concept of focusing on only one feature
...
I like dramatic eyes and strong lips, but this season, I've decided to play with a very natural lip with all the drama in the eyes.

How cute are these images of Famke Janssen and her sweet pooch?

Such a stylish pair ...

Crushing On ...

Glancing Girl here ...

I have a mah.jor crush on these wood + crystal rings from Nga Waiata.

Natural materials are always a huge part of spring and summer trending.

And I, for one, love the transition from metals and precious gems to the more natural look of artisan jewelry like Nga Waiata's pieces.
